| Culdees is an Eco-Village
and Co-Housing Project located in Fearnan on the
shores of Loch Tay in the very heart of Scotland. The aim is to
provide cheap and affordable housing through the
construction of dwellings that are in harmony
with the local enviorment. People will live in
log cabins, earthships and other accommodation
that will have minimal impact on the local
landscape and will not affect the beauty of the
Scottish Highlands. More importantly the housing
will be affordable with residents working
together to build their own homes.
Through
the Eco-Village Culdees aim to become
self-sufficient as possible through permaculture.
Here fruit and vegetables will be grown on site
for consumption. Chickens are kept for egg
production and a goat provides daily milk.
Several pigs are also kept on site.
The ethos
is to provide a place where people can live where
they work and create a society where people of
all ages and backgrounds can co-exist.
