The Ferry

Beach landing at Inverie before the pier was replaced

The Knoydart Ferry is Operated by Bruce Watt Cruises

The Ferry from Mallaig to Inverie is operated by Bruce Watt Cruises and operates on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays with a Tuesday and Thursday service from the beginning of June to Mid September. Telephone or fax: +44 (0) 1687 462320.

In 2005 a new pier was built at Inverie. This has meant an end to the beach landings (above) which had to take place when the tide was low. This makes it easier for people with mobility difficulties to enjoy this unique part of the world.
