Caledonian MacBrayne Ferries

The Western Isles of Scotland are served by Caledonian MaBrayne Hebridean and Clyde Ferries. The company which was founded in the 19th Century sails to 23 islands. Not only do they provide a service for tourists they are a vital lifeline for these remote communities ensuring they are never denied the essential supplies that allow them to keep their traditions alive.
The islands of Mull and Iona are two such islands which depend on the ferries. Mull has connections to the mainland via Oban-Craignure, Lochaline-Fishnish and Kilchoan-Tobermory. A ferry also operates between Fionphort, Mull and Iona.

Visitors using the Lochaline - Fishnish and Kilchoan - Tobermory Ferries should visit the Lochaber Transport website at www.lochabertransport.org.uk/corranferry.html to check sailing times for the Corran Ferry which cuts out a lengthy coastal drive around Fort William and Loch Linnhe.
