Salen

Salen is found approximately halfway on the road from Craignure to Tobermory. Here the two-lane A849 ends and the single-track A848 leads off to Tobermory. There is a hotel and a few guest houses here as well as well as a couple of stores, one a Spar Shop. Next to the Spar Shop is a Post Office.The Salen Hotel has a bar which is open to non-residents.
Salen Silver which is based in a workshop in the village produces quality Scottish gifts such as broaches and Celtic crosses. www.salensilver.com.
Salen also has a petrol station and public convenience. One mile south is the Glenforsa Hotel which has a landing strip adjacent to it.

Salen on the Isle of Mull should not be confused with Salen in Ardnamurchan.
